I played high school football at Decorah High School, winning a state championship in 2012. I attended Luther College where I played QB, DB, WR, and was on numerous special teams during my 4 years. I worked at Independence High School for 2 years as an assistant football coach. From there, I was the head football coach at Perry High School for 3 seasons. I spent 1 year at CCA as an assistant football coach before coming to Solon. 

I graduated from Luther in 2018 with a degree in Health Education and Physical Education. I have a Masters of Education degree through the University of Missouri with an emphasis in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership. 

I am the MS/HS Health teacher in the Solon School District. I also am an assistant girls basketball coach.

I've been married to my wife, Kristin, for 6 years. We have a daughter, Juniper (3 months), and a dog, Luie.
